Nico climbs into Nevaeh's bed every morning. He loves to snuggle with her. She loves it too! Here, you can kind of see her sleeping wedge (for her reflux), and how we've had to be creative... layering it to keep her from pulling on her tube, and to catch leakage, etc... Notice Nico's nearly-gone eyebrow. :(

Swallow study update
Nevaeh had a swallow study (x-ray) done today. They tested her on 3 different consistancies of liquid, thickening it to see if it would make a difference in asperation. Turns out, she is still asperating, but she has improved. So the plan is to give her the thickest consistancy mixture of formula & rice cereal orally - 5 to 10 mls with a syringe twice per day. We will do this for about 6 weeks, and if she appears to be doing OK, then we will have another swallow study to consider increasing her oral intake. So, while these weren't the exact results we were hoping for, we are encouraged that she is making progress. And with the extra food that she is getting, we are hoping that we might be able to drop the 3:30 AM feeding before too long!
